If you can believe it my little "O" is one years old today....It is not even fair that life goes so fast and before I know it I will be sending him off to school!!!
Owen is such a joy and blessing in our home! He is so happy and so stinking cute!! He is a fast little mover, crawling all over our house. Owie is walking all around the furniture and is starting to assess different situations and calculating how far away things are and if he could reach the next obstacle. I give him another month and I think he will be walking!!
Owen is cutting ALL 4 top teeth at one time, the two outsiders are in, but the two middle still aren't quite through so he looks like he has fangs!!!! And he is probably my happiest teether, occasionally he can be a little more cranky or more clingy but pretty mellow considering.
We started Owie on table food after his nine month check-up and he loves it, totally different child....he loves strawberries, bananas, yogurt, mac-n-cheese and ice cream!! He is also still taking two, two hour naps a day...Hallejuah!! Knock on wood, don't want that to end!
Owen also LOVES his brothers!!! He spends quite a few hours hangin' with the Bro's down in the playroom, just wanting to be with them, he will even choose them over me, which does not happen with too many things these days! I love to see his love for his brothers and watch them all interact, he thinks they are the greatest and they think the same of him!!! (Owie will be very sad and lonely when the boys start school, and I will be much busier trying to make him happy all by myself!)
"O" is a very good growler these days, he growls at Coal when he seems him, growls at most everything. He calls both the boys by saying "AAAH", he says "mom", "dad", and a version of "more"! When he wants something he just screams...which can be somewhat annoying until you figure out what he wants.
At church on Sunday he was beating himself silly on his forehead with a hard toy, and then would laugh his hard belly laugh, hard and loud...Ty finally had to take him out to get him back under control!
He is a handsome little devil and makes me so happy!
Unfortunately, Owen's surgery has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 1st. Not looking too forward to that, but we are ready to have it over and not hanging over our head anymore.
He is VERY busy and does not stop moving EVER...but, he makes us smile and we have enjoyed watching him grow this year...we just wish he would slow down a little!
